Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the cancellation of tickets purchased through Jointhevent (accessible at jointhevent.com), operated by Healthbridge Sports & Management Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India bearing GSTIN 27AAGCH36345B1ZU, with its registered office at C-105, Pristine City, Opp. Weikfield Food Processing, Bakori, Pune 412207.

Jointhevent is a technology platform that acts solely as an intermediary between event organizers and attendees. We provide the infrastructure for event discovery, ticket sales, and payment processing. We do not organize, host, or manage any events listed on the platform. By purchasing a ticket through Jointhevent, you acknowledge and agree to the cancellation terms described below.

2. Cancellation by Attendee

Attendees may cancel their tickets subject to the refund window policy configured by the event organizer for each specific event. The following conditions apply to all attendee-initiated cancellations:

  • Cancellation eligibility is determined by the event's configured refund policy. Each event organizer sets their own refund window, which may follow one of several models: a fixed number of days after purchase (FIXED_DAYS), any time until the event date (UNTIL_EVENT), or refunds disabled entirely (DISABLED).
  • When a cancellation is submitted within the applicable refund window, a refund will be processed as per the event's configured refund percentage and policy terms.
  • Cancellations can be initiated in two ways: (a) through your user dashboard by navigating to your orders, or (b) through the public refund request page at jointhevent.com/refunds, which does not require a login.
  • Once the refund window for an event has closed, cancellations will not be accepted and no refund will be issued.
  • The refund window, applicable refund percentage, and all relevant refund terms are clearly displayed on each event's page before you complete your purchase. It is the attendee's responsibility to review these terms prior to purchasing a ticket.
  • Tickets that have already been checked in at the event venue cannot be cancelled or refunded, regardless of whether the refund window is still open.
  • Free tickets (zero-amount orders) are not eligible for cancellation or refund as no payment was made.

3. Cancellation by Organizer

Event organizers listed on Jointhevent are independent third parties. They retain full authority over the planning, execution, and cancellation of their events. The following terms apply when an organizer cancels an event:

  • Jointhevent is NOT responsible if an event organizer cancels an event. The platform bears no liability whatsoever for cancellation decisions made by organizers.
  • Event organizers are solely responsible for communicating any cancellation to their registered attendees in a timely and clear manner.
  • Refund processing for organizer-cancelled events is the organizer's responsibility. Attendees should contact the event organizer directly for refund inquiries related to organizer-initiated cancellations.
  • While Jointhevent may, at its sole discretion, facilitate the refund process for organizer-cancelled events, the platform is under no obligation to do so.
  • Jointhevent bears no liability for any losses, inconvenience, travel expenses, accommodation costs, or any other damages arising directly or indirectly from event cancellations by organizers.

4. Event Rescheduling

Event organizers may, at their discretion, reschedule an event to a different date, time, or venue. The following terms apply to rescheduled events:

  • If an organizer reschedules an event, it is the organizer's sole responsibility to notify all registered attendees of the new date, time, and/or venue in a timely manner.
  • Attendees who are unable to attend on the new date may request a refund directly from the event organizer. Such requests are subject to the organizer's discretion and their configured refund policy.
  • Jointhevent is not responsible for rescheduling decisions made by organizers and has no control over such decisions.
  • Rescheduling of an event does not automatically entitle attendees to a refund. The original ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date unless the organizer communicates otherwise.

5. Platform's Role

It is important for all users to understand the scope and limitations of Jointhevent's role in the event ecosystem:

  • Jointhevent is a technology platform acting solely as an intermediary between event organizers and attendees. We are a marketplace that connects organizers with potential attendees.
  • We do not organize, host, manage, sponsor, or guarantee any events listed on the platform. All events are independently organized and managed by third-party organizers.
  • We are not liable for event cancellations, postponements, changes in venue, changes in event content, changes in event schedule, or the quality of any event.
  • Our role is strictly limited to providing the technology infrastructure for event discovery, ticket sales, payment processing, and related communication services.
  • Any disputes regarding event content, quality, cancellation, or rescheduling should be directed to the event organizer. Jointhevent will not mediate or arbitrate such disputes unless required by applicable law.

6. Non-Refundable Fees

Certain fees charged during the ticket purchase process are non-refundable under any circumstances. Please review the following carefully:

  • Platform convenience fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including event cancellation by the organizer. These fees are charged for the use of Jointhevent's technology platform and are considered fully earned at the time of transaction.
  • Payment gateway processing charges are non-refundable. These charges are levied by third-party payment processors and are outside the control of Jointhevent.
  • These non-refundable fees cover the technology infrastructure, payment processing services, and platform services provided by Jointhevent at the time of your purchase. They are independent of the event itself and are not contingent on the event taking place.

7. How to Cancel

If you wish to cancel your ticket and request a refund, you may do so through one of the following methods:

For Logged-In Users

  1. Log in to your Jointhevent account.
  2. Navigate to Dashboard → My Orders.
  3. Select the order you wish to cancel.
  4. Click Cancel and follow the on-screen instructions.

Without Login

  1. Visit the public refund request page at jointhevent.com/refunds.
  2. Enter your Order ID and the email address or phone number used during registration.
  3. Submit your cancellation request.

Please note: All cancellation requests are subject to the event's configured refund window. If the refund window has expired, your cancellation request will not be processed. You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation has been successfully processed and the refund has been initiated.
